What are Leadership Circle and Leadership League?

Leadership Circle

In 2020, Arts Schools Network launched The Leadership Circle. Hosted by ASN members Jason Patera (Head of School at The Chicago Academy for the Arts) and Dr. Drew Williams (Principal at Utah ARTS Academy), the group meets biweekly at 2pm EST via Zoom. It became a place for leaders of arts schools to gather, share ideas, ask questions, and support one another. The conversations became the highlight of the week for leaders--they laughed, cried, yelled, and saw each other, as both arts leaders and human beings. If you are the Head of School, Principal, or Director of an arts school, this is for you.  In addition to the Leadership Circle and Leadership League calls, participants will be added to the Arts Leaders email group, where you can easily connect with your colleagues across the country. Participation in this group is free with an active organizational ASN Membership.

Leadership League

Modeled after the Leadership Circle, ASN launched the Leadership League in 2021.  This group will meet monthly at 1 pm Central Time Zone virtually. Hosted by ASN members Kesha McKey (Director of Arts, NOCCA), Dr. Greg Endelman (Principal, California School of the Arts-San Gabriel Valley), and Sam Robles (Instructional Coordinator, San Diego School of the Creative and Performing Arts). The leadership league is a place for arts education leaders other than principals and heads of schools to gather, share ideas, ask questions, and support one another.  In addition to the Leadership Circle and Leadership League calls, participants will be added to the Arts Leaders email group, where you can easily connect with your colleagues across the country. Participation in this group is free with an active organizational ASN Membership.
